EASY Mongolian Beef recipe!!! 💥
Crispy tender beef coated in a sweet sticky sauce….yes please! Just look at that glaze! There are lots of variations of this recipe around, some call for more or less sugar, adding other veggies etc.
The recipe below is how I enjoy mine. Save for later!

Ingredients
1/2kg Beef steak, sliced
Vegetable oil, as needed
1/2 cup Soy sauce
1/2 cup Dark brown sugar
1/4 cup Water, add more if needed
4 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 inch piece Ginger finely grated
1 1/2 tbsp Corn flour
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Ground black pepper
1/4tsp Crushed chilli flakes (optional)
5 stalks Spring onions, green part only, cut into 1 inch pieces
Sesame seeds to garnish (optional)
Serving suggestion – steamed rice and steamed broccoli

Method
Step 1 – Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
Step 2 – Coat the steak in cornstarch, making sure it’s all covered.
Step 3 – Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Add the ginger, garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Step 4 – Add the soy sauce, water, chilli flakes and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil. Pour the sauce into a bowl and set aside.
Step 5 – In the same pan, add some more oil and heat. Add the steak and sear until all the pieces have browned on both sides.
Step 6 – Pour sauce back into the pan and stir together with the steak. Simmer until it thickens (thick and sticky!). Add the green onions, and cook further for 1 minute. Garnish with seasame seeds.
Step 7 – Serve with white rice and steamed broccoli! (Optional)
