Masala Chips 💥
Who’s ready for this one?
Mildly spiced yet bursting with flavour, these masala chips are about to become a favourite! Recipe below. SAVE!
Ingredients
500g Frozen chunky chips, or your favourite
2 tbsp Vegetable oil or butter
1 Small onion, finely diced
4 Garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Tomato purée
1/4 tsp of each – cumin powder, coriander powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala, salt.
3 tbsp Water
Garnish –
Natural yogurt
Red/green chillies, finely sliced (optional)
Fresh coriander, finely chopped
Lemon wedges
Method
Step 1 – Cook chips in an oven or air fryer according to packets instructions.
Step 2 – Whilst you’re waiting for the chips to cook- In a large wok/pan, on medium heat, add 2 tbsp oil. Once hot, add the onions and sauté until softened. Now add the garlic and sauté till fragrant. Next add the tomato purée and sauté for a minute. Now add all the spices and sauté for a further minute. Add a little water to the mixture and stir to combine.
Step 3 – Add the chips the pan and gently mix to combine, turn the heat up to high and stir fry for a further 1 minute.
Step 4 – Drizzle with yogurt, and sprinkle over the coriander chillies. Squeeze a little lemon on top and serve immediately! Enjoy!
