MAPLE LATTE CHOCOLATE CHUNK BANANA BREAD (recipe below)

Best served warm with a little bit of butter 😉 the flavors here are perfect for the holiday season! Made with brown sugar, maple, espresso, and cinnamon, it’s like a maple latte, but in bread (dessert?) form!

RECIPE
Wet Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 stick butter (8 tbsp)
2 eggs
â…“ cup maple syrup
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Dry Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp espresso powder
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks/chips

Preheat oven to 350 F and line a 9 x 5 loaf pan with parchment paper.

Brown your butter by adding stick to a sauce pan on medium heat. Heat for about 5 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat immediately once the butter has turned a toasty-brown color. Pour into a bowl to cool.

Add mashed bananas to a medium bowl. Add in the cooled brown butter, eggs, maple syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla, and whisk until smooth.

In a separate large bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Fold the wet ingredients in the dry ingredients, and mix until combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks. Add the batter to the loaf pan, and bake for 40-50 min until banana bread is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean (I slightly overbaked mine, so just don’t do that lol).
