Ingredients
For the chicken –
1 kg Chicken wings, wings and drums separated.
1 tsp Salt
1/2tsp Ground black pepper
1 cup Cornflour
1-2 cups Vegetable oil, for frying
•Sesame seeds and sliced red chillies to garnish

For the sauce –
2 tsp Sesame oil
4 Garlic gloves, crushed or grated
1/2 inch Ginger, finely grated
3 tbsp Gochujang paste
4 tbsp Soy sauce
7 tbsp Dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp Red chilli powder (optional)

Method
Step 1 – Season the wings with salt and black pepper. In a large bowl, add the cornflour and coat the wings well.

Step 2 – In a large pan, over medium heat, add the vegetable oil. When hot, add the wings in batches. Fry for about 6 minutes on each side or until crispy!

Step 3 – Remove the wings from the oil and set aside.

Step 4 – In another large pan, over low-medium heat add the sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant (not brown). Now add all the other ingredients and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until it becomes syrupy (add a little water if too sticky). Turn off the heat and mix in the chicken wings!

Step 5 – Garnish with the sesame seeds and sliced chillies! Enjoy!
